Our services focus on the disciplines of Molecular Biology/Pathology. Testing in the Genetic Assays' Laboratory encompasses a variety of DNA probe formats ranging from DNA hybridization to Polymerase Chain Reaction* (PCR) amplification of target DNA sequences. Because of this, sensitivity is dramatically increased to levels unachievable with conventional detection methods. *PCR is performed pursuant to a license agreement with Roche Molecular Systems, Inc.

Our molecular based tests are offered when there is a vital need for increased sensitivity and decreased diagnosis time. These advantages are of particular importance when hard to culture organisms are involved (i.e., using PCR-based testing, results are available in as little as 24 hours as compared to conventional testing which typically takes 2-8 weeks for results).
